What to know about attending one of our furmeets
Before a meet
You should check the code of conduct before visiting - make sure to follow the rules during our meets!
Keep an eye on our socials such as Telegram or Discord for the latest updates, important announcements, fursuit walk routes, etc.
Get familiar with the route from / to the venue, its usually a short walk from the Cardiff Central train station
Cardiff is a large city, most of the time it is perfectly fine but if the furmeet coincidently happens during a major event (such as rugby) it can cause very busy transport, this means that trains / busses can be very crowded, train stations could have crowd control and the city itself being very busy.
If a major event is scheduled, it'll be announced on our Telegram and Discord channels. Make sure to check for big events / delays before you travel!
Even when a meet ends, you are free to stay at the venue
Main meets
The main meets are the big major events for FTM, they are hosted at Boom Battle Bar Cardiff in Brewery Quarter (down the stairs)
Venue
Food and drink is available from the venue - we recommend getting some there as we have a £2,000 bar spend we need to reach per main meet - so if you can buy some drinks and some food, maybe even a game or two, it'll help a lot!
Darts are free during the meet and are dotted around the furmeet section of the venue, you can also try out axe throwing, shuffleboard, 8-ball pool, karaoke for an extra cost which contributes to bar spend.
This venue is NOT exclusive to FTM, we have a section of the venue (left when you go down the stairs to enter) that is for the furmeet but the outside area and other games bit will be shared with the public.
Fursuiting
Make sure you only fursuit inside of the section of the venue we have - not outside or in the other part of the venue.
Fursuit / luggage can be stored in the back next to the staff table - the corner has tables and is reserved for fursuit storage - keep an eye on them though, they are left at your own risk.
Do not eat or drink around this area
Fursuit Walk
Fursuit walks happen in this meet but if the weather is typically welsh then it may be cancelled - after the photo inside the venue we'll be going outside and up the stairs, make sure to take off your fursuit before going up the stairs, then we will prepare for the walk!
The fursuit walk route will be decided before it happens - usually the day before, and if it'll happen or not will be decided during / before the meet depending on the weather. You dont need to attend the fursuit walk, you can stay in the venue during it if you prefer.
Fursuit walks do interact with the public, don't interact with people who are clearly not interested.
Make sure to follow the staff who are guiding during the walk
If your fursuiting: beware of hazards such as benches, people, trees, wings, wings, other fursuiters, etc.

Mini meets
Mini meets are the smaller, quieter, more relaxed meets - these happen at Geek Retreat Cardiff located inside of Morgan Arcade, often doing card / board games and such.
Venue
Food and drink are also available at this venue, while we dont have a bar spend we recommend getting something as a thanks for hosting us!
The venue is NOT exclusive to FTM, it is shared with the public - there is a corner / table for the furmeet.
These meets are designed to be small, if it gets too busy it might have to be officially capped - for now its just softly capped at 30
Fursuiting
There isnt a fursuit walk in this meet, it is mostly socialising with a bit of fursuiting
You can fursuit in the whole venue, be respectful of others though.
and of course, have fun!
